Description
Ferris wheel shown in the final stages of construction on June 11 or June 12, 1893. Only six cars are shown mounted on the wheel (ultimately there were thirty-six). A black and white stereogram of the Ferris Wheel printed on a yellow card. On the left border the words "KEYSTONE VIEW COMPANY' are printed. The bottom border says "COPYRIGHT, 1893 BY B.L. SINGLEY. 369 WORLD'S FAIR, THE GREAT FERRIS WHEEL, 280 FEET HUGH. CHICAGO, ILL., U.S.A." The right boarder says "MEADVILLE, PENNA" The two photos are the same, with the circular Ferris Wheel taking up the majority of the image with 6 Ferris Wheel carriages visible on the structure. In front and below the wheel there is a fence and trees and a house like structure.
